    Today's fun at Fish Lake

The trails were great and there was about six or eight inches of new snow on the ground. The sun was out all day. Off trail had all that powder on nice solid snow.

First we went to the top of Robinson Butte where there is a lookout tower. We climbed the tower and had a magnificent 360 degree view. Unfortunately the camera didn't see the mountains as well as the naked eye.

    Here is Mt. Shasta:

    Here is Mt. Ashland:

Here is a view looking towards the Rogue Valley:

    Here is Mt. McLaughlin:

Here is the Brown Mtn. Shelter:

    Playing in a quarry:

    We had some awesome views:

The untouched snow in front of us:

    The view behind us:
When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels.

Beautiful pics! I'm glad to see there is still some fresh stuff still coming down. I was begining to worry a little.

Also, for anyone wanting to go to Robinson Butte to climb the tower for the view, take the trail slowly. There is a gate that is normally opened before the snow falls but it was forgotten. Right now there is enough snow to go over the gate (all you can see are the top of the two side posts.) But once the snow starts melting.....PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!

this is true. Also beware of the early morning when it is icy. Those with 1" or less lugs might think twice before taking the journey.
