    Sled just died.

Went riding Friday. Sunny, snow was getting heavy. Climbed a hill, was coming down and the engine stuttered, looked at the instrument panel. It was blank, then the engine quit running. Wondering if anyone has a idea for what might be wrong. It is a 2009 RMK 800, completely stock.
    Thanks
    Danny

Besides that fact that it is a Polaris?
When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels.

Kindness is like snow - it beautifies everything it covers.

That would be my first thought. My '08 died 20 miles from the truck.

Was wondering if this is an ongoing problem with this sled?
If so what might be the fix, without buying a new sled.
Don't need the extra expense right now.
          Thanks

When mine died the dealer said it was a known issue. The replacement was supposed to take care of it. The sled has since been passed between two friends with zero issues.

Well, paid almost 200.00for a new v.r., installed it.
Cranked it over, finally got it to start, then fried the ecu.
This is going to be an expensive fix next fall.
Had to walk away before I turned it to junk with a sledge hammer.
                Well on to summer things.

Ok tech guru's, summer time is over. Now on to fixing my sled. Put in new condenser, vr, ecu and still won't start . Checked plugs , no spark.
Have new stator on order, what am I missing? Is there a fuse somewhere that could have blown? Need help.
Oh ya it is a 09 pol 800.
                    Funds dictate no new sled,
Any and all help is appreciated.

I would next check and see if you have any power going to the coils.

Well after buying new capacitor, vr, ecu, stator I found out that the ecu was not flashed from Polaris.
Took it to dealer they flashed it, fired right up. Shouldn't Polaris inform you when you buy the ecu that it is not flashed from factory?
After much headache it is running , so thanks to all for the input I received.
                          Really appreciate this forum.

That's good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Now start doing your snow dance. I was over in Lakeview today and there's hardly a snowflake in sight!
