It looks like the Crescent Lake Resort has been sold to the owners of Hoodoo Ski Area. I am sure that Chuck will make some cool things happen.

As of this August 10, Hoodoo will take over the ownership and management of Crescent Lake Lodge and Resort. This is the only resort on Crescent Lake. We intend to use it to help manage the nearby Crescent Lake Campground and the other Crescent Lake campgrounds like Spring and Contorta. We intend to keep some camping areas open possibly year around, if you don’t mind camping in the snow. You will be able to park at the resort and walk into the campground during the winter. The Forest Service with Hoodoo’s help is installing yurts in the campground as well. It is our intention to try to keep the yurts available year around for summer campers and winter skiers as well. The road to the resort will be kept plowed and you will have access to the lake through the winter. We are planning on paving the road into the resort this month to help us keep the access to the lake open in the winter. We intend to improve the restaurant and bar for patrons, snowmobilers, and campers as well. Many of the cabins will be improved over the next few years and we hope to broaden our ability to reach out to the campers by doing things like having a take out pizza area at the resort.
