Tragic. I'm glad that I ride with the folks that I do. The Avalanche Class that Rogue Snowmobilers gave us last month really educated me to be more aware of terrain and conditions. It also allowed us to be trained and prepared for this when/if it happens to my group, for attempted rescue.

I'd bet BC_Dan is reading this now, and wondering if it has made it to the link he keeps at the bottom of his sig yet.

That is so sad. Too many have lost their lives this year. My thoughts go out to the families of the victims.
