    Default Subaru Impreza, 10,11,12

In looking to get rid of my RAV4 and get a used subaru impreza. The '11 and '12 get amazing gas milage, way better than my RAV. Getting around town in the rav i get about 18 MPG and the Impreza should get 25. Than on the highway its the same deal. So anybody have experience towing with an Impreza. Is it heavy enough, hows the power, Is the drive terrain durable enough. I know they recently switched to CVT. i am wondering if this is an issue for towing. it has 145 HP is that enough. I think i would sell my steel flat bed and get a smaller lighter trailer.

Would love to hear some feedback. Cheers.

PS. Its getting fooking cold out there in the morningn:-)

A long time ago I had a 01' outback with the 2.5, had to tow with it a couple times, two sleds. It wanted to overheat and not go over 45mph..

If I had to get good gas mpg I'd rock a 4cyl pickup and put the sled in the bed. Used to put a 163" in the back of my old ranger all the time, never had to use 4wd with it in their.

My wife would kill me if i got a truck. Plus the rav tows just fine and is really nice to drive. Just that most of my driving is not towing and it is mostly around town and out to smith rock.

Well with 1 sled I was actually surprised at how well it got going
The mpg is probably around 18 with 1 at 60 mph

I would prefer a truck but had to settle for something that had a lot of cabin space and still could tow 2 snowmobiles
I only use it to tow 2 times a year

I can fit my bike inside without removing the tire
