Default Dynamic Clutch Balancing in Bend.

Cascade Clutch & Performance in Bend, has a new HB-75 Balance Master dynamic balancing machine. We have designed special tooling for balancing all major brands of motorsport clutches. Each clutch is mounted just like it is on your machine. This gives the most accurate results possible. An out of balance clutch puts large amounts of pressure on your crank shaft and seal. Over time this pressure will be one of the major causes of crank failure. An out of balance clutch can causes excessive heat build up in the clutch and heat is one of the major causes of short belt life. There are other causes that can effect belt life like clutch alignment, shaft center to center and sheave clearance on the primary clutch. We can correct all these issues.
Visit our web site then give us a call and we can go over any issues you maybe having. We also carry all the major clutch repair parts in stock including springs for the most common applications. We commonly can remove unbalance to less than 1/10th of a gram-in. You will receive a full printout of the initial unbalance and the corrected balance of your clutch.
A "new" clutch off a Polaris or Arctic Cat for example is commonly 3-5 grams out of balance from the factory. Skidoo is typicality much higher. If we check your new or used clutch and it is not out of balance we will not charge for the service.
24 hour turn around time! We look forward to working with you.

Default Dynamic Clutch Balancing in Bend.

Cascade Clutch balanced the primary on my 09 800 (2010 800 motor). The clutch was 6 grams out of balance on the outer and 5 grams on the inner. They were able to bring it to within a tenth of a gram on both. Very quick turn around and great customer service. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Glad you asked. We are running a End of Season special all this month at 75.00. I will come up with something for the rest of the season for a little hug just for SledSpace. Thanks for asking.

6 grams out? Anyone wonder why Polaris cranks fail so frequently?

Get those clutches balanced, save your crank!

    I see a C C & P bumper sticker in the near future...

SAVE A CRANK, Balance your clutch today!
When the Sierra club told me to "be more green". I thought they meant to buy another Arctic Cat.

I did preach about this once already! 6 Grams is equal to 6 $1 bills.

    WOULD YOU BELIEVE...?
That 7 grams of Unbalance at a 4" radius from center of a rotating element (Snowmobile Clutch) creates centrifugal forces of or equal to:

    7 pounds at 2,000 R.P.M.
    15.8 pounds at 3,000 R.P.M.
    28 pounds at 4,000 R.P.M.
    43.8 pounds at 5,000 R.P.M.
    112 pounds at 8,000 R.P.M.
Top R.P.M. of an average Snowmobile

I will be sending Dave my Primary Clutch! What about the Polaris secondary button style? Are those 5+ grams out too?

    Wes is correct!
Those numbers ring true. Although we only feel the unbalance as vibration, the damage is still happening. We can do secondary clutches also. If we do both at once we will swing a real deal on total price. Secondary clutch's tend to be all over the place depending on miles on the clutch. A team clutch with the single sheave adjustment screw puts a lot of uneven wear on the internal area which causes unbalance to increase over time. Not a big deal to correct. Again if anyone has any questions about balancing feel free to give me a call. I will be happy to go over any questions you may have.
