Diesel would be the way to go more power than gas! And yes diesel is more expensive but when you do the math and compare gas mileage to a gas truck diesel is slightly cheaper! You can tow anything and you will have the power to do it. Stay away from fords with the 6.0L diesel huge issues with blowing head gaskets! Dodge is notorious for transmission problems. GMC Chevy or a Ford with any motor other than the 6.0L. I have a ford with a 6.0L great motor after you put $4000 into ARP head studs EGR delete kit and new head gaskets!!

Diesel would not be the way to go for him... He is going to drive in town mostly and Diesel need to be worked. Thats where people get into trouble with a diesel. Need to read most of the post and what he is wanting out of it. Diesels are $,$$$ to run and he wouldnt gain anything with having one. JMHO
