Has anyone been up at Lake of the Woods lately???

I know that we are supposed to get some snow this week, according to the weather report LOL. A few of use might head up this coming up weekend ( Sat the 23 Feb) and take a ride to Pelican.

I was wondering on how are the conditions up there???? Thanks...

The last time I was up there was the day the big storm began and the trail system was in excellent shape. This is the last message I had from the groomers in that area and I received it on February 13th:

"By Friday the 15th Four Mile Lake, around Great Meadow and all the way to Pederson Snow Park will be done. We are limited on the days we can run because of a tight budget from high Diesel prices. Also our priority will be road crossings because of the high berms created by the snow plows. The South half of the Resort trail, and Pearson trail was done this past Friday and the west side cabin trail was done by a private party some time last week."

I also had a call from ODOT on Friday that all sno-parks have been plowed on Hwy's 62, 140, 230 and 138.

Right on!!! I wont be going up that way this weekend, but sometime soon......

From what I've seen in the Rogue Forum things are shaping up around the lake of the woods and just about everything north of 140 is groomed and some areas around the lake. give em a chance to catch up and it might be okay.
