How many snowmobilers are in Oregon? I don't know for sure. Do you???

There are just over 200 SAWS members in Oregon, as of today.

I think there are more sledders out there than our membership indicates. Don't you?

i read you first post but unless I missed it it doesnt really say how one would join. let us now that cause I probably now a few people that would be intersted in joining. i think one of the members of my club (mt. jefferson) is a member of SAWS.. i could be wrong but he passes on info that sounds like it pertains to what SAWS is about.

I would contact Peggy Spieger at the OSSA if you want to know. She was sharing some stats on the number of members and the number of snowmobiles registered in the state but I can't remember the numbers. Our local club has over 200 members this year.

Just go to http://www.snowmobile-alliance.org/ and sign up.

I'll make sure the link is in her post and make it sticky.

Since this website has been up and running we have seen a steady increase in membership.

My original question was meant to be rhetorical. I would just like to see all sled owners in the state sign up for SAWS. It is free to join. It's all about the numbers. When SAWS says, we are against a land closure, it just carries more weight when they can state they represent 20,000 sledders in the Western States, rather than 2,000. For Oregon specifically, I'd like to say that SAWS represents at least 1,000 sledders in Oregon....not the 200 or so members we had a few weeks ago.

Spread the word. Sign up. It's easy. Apathy will only lead to more land closures. So will riding out-of-bounds. Get a map....know where the boundaries are.

Rant over... =)
