Well I couldn't stand that fact that we had no snow here in the states, so I packed loaded my sled and off we went to Revelstoke over Thanksgiving weekend, I didn't get to have any turkey and candied yams but I did get to play in the snow for three days and I all forgot about that turkey leg. The weather was bluebird on Thursday on Frisby ridge, and then on Friday and Saturday it was fogged in, and we rode Keystone and back on Frisby those days. There was about 4 ft of snow, not enough but it was better than nothing, even found a water hole, lol...
here are a few pictures of the ride and the view.

Nice, would like to say I'm not jealous but that would be a lie. Looks like a great place to ride.
I only have a couple of things left, a little gease and check the DD oil tonight and the sled will be ready. Hope we start getting some snow next week.

So - you may be the first Oregonian to ride on any substantial snow this season. Too bad you had to travel all the way to Canada to do it - but I know you had a GREAT time. Next year Tedd and I are thinking about taking that trip. :)
I can't take that trip...I wouldn't come home!!!

LOL... I didn't want to come home. Revelstoke was a blast to just visit also. Now it's snowing again up there.
So many play areas there and Revelstoke is in the central of it all.
This may be a new annually trip for us.
Where do you ride and stay there? I was planning on traveling to Canada this weekend but with the weather forcast plans are going to change. I would still like to plan a trip there soon.
How long did it take you to get there Thanksgiving with good roads?
Thanks

We rode out of Frisby (15 minute drive) and Keystone (about 30 mintues), just a teaser of the area. There are so many peeps up there you could tag along with anyone. We stayed at Day's Inn, and walking distance to Zala's (restaurant and lounge) and it's full of snowmobiler's that stay at Day's Inn too. Since I live in Milton-Freewater it took us 10 hours up and back? We entered into Canada at Osoyoos (hwy 97).
word of warning, they don't have sno-park's like we do, or not at least there at Frisby and Keystone, we had a 27 ft enclosed w/a crewcab long bed, and it was interesting there at Keystone. It was up a road and found a wide spot on the side and unloaded.
This is a better good website on Revelstoke.
