I'll start - I did nothing! I am not sure I even got more than 30 miles from home all summer long. It was awesome.

I didn't put my sled up until the last week in June this year. So mostly this summer I rested from all the bumps and bruises of the season.

I also helped on a couple of trail work days. I took a much hated trip to California to visit my grandmother. California is hated, not my grandmother who is much loved and why I even endure CA anymore.

I have also spent quite a bit of time preparing for this season's snowmobiling for the Rogue Snowmobilers. We just finished up a summertime blood drive competition (I will let you know the results when I know) and a food drive.

And I have gotten in quite a bit of gardening and reading which I also love to do. But I am getting real anxious for the snow to start falling so I can cater to my snowmobiling addiction!!!

I am the Wagon Master for our RV Club, we made many trips this year including a nice trip to Charleston on the Oregon coast.

It's a full time job keeping up with our yard so we did a lot of yard work (as much as we could) this year.

We bowl every Wednesday with our RV club and go to lunch. It's been a busy summer, we have one last trip to go on with our RV club October 10 at Medford Oaks RV Park, then we will put up our RV for the Winter.

We just had our annual "Snowdrifters BBQ" first of the season, everyone is excited about a great snowmobiling season!

Lets see where to start:
1) Cut four cords of fire wood for my cabin.
2) Took out the back wall and door to my cabin and replaced with all new.
3) Remodiling home and redoing yard in the valley to sell and retire to my cabin.
4) Finished bow hunting for this season with no luck but injoyed the time spent in the woods.
5) Bought myself a 2009 800 Dragon RMK 163 and had added lots of after market goodies.
6) Waiting for the snow to fly to ride my new sled :)

this summer was crazy for me. i spent all summer remodeling my house. new windows, new doors, all new trim inside and out. i have been very busy. I have to get it all done so that we are ready for our new baby, which will be here any day now.

i didnt even touch my sled at all. i did get up to hoodoo and do quite a bit of trail trimming.

cant wait for the snow though I need to sled. plus I cant wait to get my daughter up to the snow. she needs to get used to it at an early age. ha ha is 3 months too early?

We were able to take a couple trips to our favorite snowmobile destination at Crescent Lake and do some boating, fishing, shooting, biking, etc... Our favorite time there is still in the Winter.

Still trying to groom 2.5 acres at home on my rock pit and an unfinished basement to slowly tackle.

I spent all summer just working and spending time with my girls.
We took a trip to Elko Nevada and while I was there I checked out the Ruby Mountains. WOW! Has anyone ever rode there? From what I found out later after our trip, the Ruby's were voted one of the top 10 snowmobile destinations in the U.S.by Snowgoer Magazine. They're beautiful and huge!
Anyways, I finished off the summer with archery season and here I sit...waiting for my new sled and snow to start piling up!

It's hard to believe summer is coming to an end! We even have freeze warnings for the next couple days on the valley floor. We've golfed, camped at Diamond Lake, built a shop and generally had a great summer. In two weeks we head to Cancun then we'll be ready to rock and ride!!

We took one trip up north to Oroville, WA for my sister's 60th birthday and after that.........we STAYED HOME!! :D And it was FABULOUS!

Since we were in transition from Hillsboro to Creswell for almost 11 months, living in RVs, in separate towns because of things like houses selling and not being completely finished, no space in private schools, and various roadblocks like that - there really wasn't any place we wanted to be except our sitting in our own backyard (The new house was finished in April. YEAH!). We had some friends and family visit us (and they slept in the RV!), we took a couple of day trips to mountains, and floated the McKenzie several times.

By the end of September we thought we should get the trailer out at least ONCE during the summer of 2008, so we dragged it up to Dexter (about 30 minutes from home) for the last drag boat race of the season. Although, now that I think about it - we did have it up at Bachelor sledding over Memorial Day weekend....so I guess we had it out twice. Whew! I feel better now.

Sorry for the diary! I'm so ready for some serious sledding this year. :p

What Oregongirl said PLUS.....
Built an 8 second drag boat with a few friends and attended all but one race. Worked on the truck doing some things that I have wanted to do for quite sometime now. Other than that, did a lot of hanging out at the new home in the new town.
