Hi
Welcome to the redesigned H2OREGON!!
The new forum software was moved to production on 9/28/08. The move went well, with most posts and such moving over just fine. We did lose a few attachments and a random post or two, but for the most part everything from the past is still intact.
All users were migrated, but due to encrypted passwords everyone will need to reset their password before they can log in. The process is very easy and can be done from the following link:
http://www.sledspace.com/login.php?do=lostpw
The forum now handles attachments much better, especially pictures - automatic resizing, etc. You can see some examples in the Images Test forum.
There are also some "social" features such as friends, groups, etc. that we will all need to figure out together - I think it will be a nice addition. The upcoming versions of the software will see even more of these types of enhancements.
There are other feature enhancements, as well as performance and scalability improvements. I think you will run into these here and there and will appreciate them as you get used to the new forum.
Anyway, take a look, make some posts and please let me know what you think.
