Was that you guys buzzing around Tumalo. I was out for a ski today. Knee Deep. and the wind kept filling it in. smiles for everybody.

man now i know why we don't have any pow down here, you guys keep hogging it all up. but one thing i'm glad we don't have is in your last pic, sooooooo many peeps tracking up every spare inch of pow. i'll take the untouched fresh and ride less...

To be fair, that last picture is Ball Butte. It is right where the wilderness boundary squeezes down to almost a point (given the terrain) and it holds a ton of snow. You can see that nobody climbed very high because you legally can't go past the tracked up spot. A few hundred yards away and you can find fresh.
Not to mention it looks pretty good where Moon is sitting (that is a fun spot to have mini hill-climb challenges when the snow is deep). I remember two years ago, almost to the day, we messed around with a 60 HP Polaris 550 fan that we finally were able to get up in deeper snow. It took a huge run up to get enough speed, and it finally made it (barely). Fun day.

Ben's right, within a couple minutes(by sled) of where those photos were taken there were untouch meadows, and they nearly always are. This photo'd area is by far the most popular area, it's fun but there's a lot better riding you access from the same parking lot.
