Monday and Tuesday are the last two days of the blood drive. If you have been procrastinating, the time to give is now!!

It is also a close competition and as of 9/17, the number are tight. Your donation could make the difference between winning and losing!!

RESULTS FROM OUT 1ST ANNUAL OUTDOOR CLUBS BLOOD DRIVE:

A big congratulations goes out to the SOUTHERN OREGON NORDIC CLUB as they are the winners of this year’s bragging rights. They won the Blood Drive challenge for 2008!!! They had the largest percent of their membership donate blood.



The final tallies were as follows:

The Red Cross was very pleased with our turnout and with the number of people who were first time donors and made appointments to donate again. I appreciate everyone from each club who took the time to donate. Hopefully the best reward for you is the lives that you saved!



I also want to commend the MRA who although worried that no one would donate still decided to participate in the event! Thank you so much as the donations from your club alone can save up to six lives! I am so pleased that you participated and you should be as well!!



I look forward to next year and my goal is to include more clubs and also to increase the percentage of donors closer to 10%.



Thanks again to all the clubs and congratulations to the Nordic Club! They may have the bragging rights but we are all winners!
