100 on the east side. Not a snowflake in sight :(

Oh well, gives me a chance to get some maintenance done! :D I love the smell of 2-stroke in the morning ;)

Yeah it was hot here in Eastern Oregon this last weekend. I went out on a motorcyle road rally and it was hot in them jeans. Today it's just right :) 66 degrees! I'm ready for the snow, and even got my placed booked for McCall.

Still a few patches on the east side of Mt. Mcgloughlin.
See some on Mt. Shasta.

Don't worry it is going to be a early winter this year. Flys are already trying to get in and trees are starting to change already.

Snow on South Sister this last weekend. S&R rescued hikers caught in a sudden whiteout.

I thought I would revisit this post because I'm needin' reassured that it is in fact going to snow this winter:confused:
I figured by now we would at least see some kind of snow base around the 5000 ft mark, but everything that has fallen has melted.
Can everyone please join me in a snow dance...

Well I believe it's finally in the forecast over here on the east side. I remeber last year during elk season I was walking around in snow, not this year and no elk either. :(

Diamond is getting it right now but it isn't quite cold enough. It looks like a really wet, slushy snow instead of something that is going to stick around. Hopefully tonight it cools off a lot! This is the first year in about 3 that we haven't ridden by the middle of November.

Here is a current picture at Diamond Lake:

I hope this sticks and we get more this week. My first trip up is planned for December 6th for the day and then I am going to Diamond Lake for Dec 11-14 for our annual Christmas banquet.

i cant remember that first time I rode last year. it feels so long ago...

the snow needs to come and it needs to come in force. like a storm to make it snow for like a week or so straight would be just fine
