No snow to ride so still servicing the sleds for the season. I thought I would pass on what I use for a spring tool. This works great! harbor frieght for $6.99.

I picked this one up a few years ago. It allows for a variety of spring on/off methods, good leverage, and doesn't wear out easily (very heavy duty). Not as cheap as the screwdriver method, but an alternative. I think it is a Woodys. I am amazed at how much I have actually used it.

Or use an old leather boot lace. The boot lace works well on some springs where you can't get leverage with a tool...

I use piece cable. 1/8" about two foot long. Came off my old garage door

That's what I use. I think it was like $16. Screwdriver is ok too; but what I like is the T handle. I've never tore up a knuckle since buying.

I like the slot so you can push springs down also. Found this at Western Power Sports. These things are worth a lot more money IMO.
