You Bet!!!! I would go. There is only 10Ft of snow left. I looked at the stick that they have up there before you get to the top on the left hand side of the trail!!!!
Went today what a nice beautiful day. Thanks to the Groomers for all the hard work. Days like this weekend reminds you that you need sunscreen.

The LOW area hasn't been updated on the Rogue site because the groomers haven't given me any updated reports. I am glad to hear that they did groom it and that you had a great day. We went to Four Mile Lake, then around LOW and up to the burn to play.

Has anyone taken the trail to the top of Pelican lately? There was a lot of new snow last week and I wonder how the trail is. We are thinking of going on Saturday to the top and watch the sun set.

Went to Brown MT today and the snow is AWESOME! Great riding for sure!!!! I would bet that there will be some snow drifts up @ Pelican. I could be wrong but I dont think so LOL.
Snow drifts. Passable if you have decent lugs and power. If you are inexperienced in riding drifts you might shovel or find a ride somewhere else. We went up last tuesday and was really windy and had some pretty good drifts up top. You can almost make it to the first drop in on the bowl but gets pretty bad from there unless you have people knocking the tops off.

Planning on going to Lake of the Woods Saturday afternoon and Thousand Springs on Sunday. I was just setting up a board meeting for May 1st and it hit me that I will most likely be riding in May this year. Very unusual but good!!
I raised my bars a little more, maybe we'll see you at Annie creek! We did our last grooming this week, the cat broke and it got hauled away on a truck to Medford.

The trail to the top of Pelican was a little hairy from drifts in about two places but overall a good trail. It wasn't washboardy at all which is unusual. We rode from about 4:30 p.m. until about 9:00 p.m. and had a great time and never ran into another snowmobiler.
Today we went to Thousand and rode for about 5 hours. We saw three other snowmobilers. It's getting hard to find people still willing to go riding with!!

Just missed you then at Thousand. Went to hamaker and back and was enough for us. 65 miles in the slush is enough. Wrecked one sled. Oldest had his head you know where and centered a Lodgepole. I guess that is why we put them on the cheap sleds to learn on. Little fiberglass and some leverage and should be close to new.

Where you in the two trucks parked on the highway side of the snowpark?? They were there when we got to the snopark at about 9:30 but were gone when we got back at 2:30. We were guessing that that group went to Hamaker because we thought we noticed tracks crossing the road.
I had the gold Dodge Dakota Quad Cab truck parked on the shelter side of the snopark.
I did that route a week ago Saturday and the trail was a little rough but fun. But it has snowed quite a bit since I went there so the trail should be a little better.
I managed to find another tree well today. We were in some pretty tight spots for about 100 yards and I couldn't quite make it through. I just don't have the strength to manhandle my sled through like you guys do. Other than that, I had a great time boon docking through the meadows and trees, some easier hill climbing and just general playing around.

I was in the white Dodge Megacab, and my father in the Grey Dodge with the Camper on the back. We didn't get there until about 11.
Trail was still rough in some spots and really icy in the rough areas, but over all it was a nice ride. Did some boon docking also. Cant believe the amount of bear tracks out. I guess spring is actually here.

Okay....the ones next to us with the dog. It is too bad we didn't cross paths. Would have been nice to meet you.
Did you come across any bare spots? We came across a couple of bare spots on the trail from Lake of the Woods to Pelican in the lower elevations but none at Thousand Springs.

Just crossing the road is the only place we had bare spots.
We are going to ride brown mountain friday so hopefully no bare spots there. But as we all know bare spots is what spring riding has to offer.
