Yep, Diamond Lake had near white out conditions at times today. Then some sun then more snow then some sun then more snow.

Just got back from riding the Fish Lake and Lake of the Woods area. It snowed off and on all day. Several times it was near white out conditions, wait a few minutes and then we would have sun. When we started off there was probably two inches of new snow. I had so much fun and I learn more and more each ride. But is would be hard to get stuck in today snow conditions. Today I practiced alot of hill climbing and then turning out. That has been a problem for me as I tend to wait until it is too late because I am uncomfortable turning out and then get stuck. We went up to the burn and played around up there but you couldn't get too high up or you ended up in the clouds and very difficult to see.

Yesterday we rode the Thousand Springs area and the same type conditions, off and on snow. But it was more powdery and easier to get stuck (as I did twice). I even went up and down in Cook's Hole off the Rock Top trail. If you had asked me last year if I would do that, I would have said never.

I am ready to ride tomorrow!! Too bad I have to work..... ;)

The only bad (sad) part of the ride was you can really see the snow levels receding and too soon it will be time to put the machines away for the summer.....
