View Full Version : Slide kicks.
I baught the slide kicks thinking they where the way to go. I am having a problem keeping them tight. I have used the lock washers and also used red loc tight. Now i have lost the lh side. Contacted the manufacture and no help from them. Any input
I had the same problem. Sold them and went back to over the rail scratchers. They looked good on paper.
Thanks, i thought maybe i was doing something wrong.
Like most people I tried the sidekicks because they are more forgiving if you forget and back up with them down. I couldn't get enough down force to kick up a decent spray. When they didn't work I got rid of them and came up with these brackets to allow the standard scratchers to flip backwards instead of breaking off. Just a thought.
Thats sweet, you can quit your day job!!
Great idea, Ace! I have two sleds with the slide kicks, and have no issues, They seem to work fine. I did have the end of one pull out when it hit the end of my trailer loading. I sent it back, they sent me another one, no charge. The Slidekicks don't kick as much snow as the wire scratchers, but I had horrible luck with those. My first couple sets broke the end off of the scratcher on the first ride, first one side, then the other. Other guys that ride with me had the same issue. Getting quality wire scratchers is the key, but figuring out who makes a good one is a problem.

I would be putting a patent on that quick!!!
Thanks for the input guys. Thats a great idea on the wire scratchers flipping over.
