That last mile is drifted really bad. Are they going to groom it here soon or no? Also 96 (Diamond lake trail head) before cold springs is barred by snow. We went up 96 for a little ways but decided to turn around. No one has been on it for some time!

I would like to see it groomed also. I would like to take my wife up there for the view and she is not a experienced rider to ride all of the drifts that are there.
I guess What I am saying is it would be greatly appreciated to get one last ride to the top for the inexperienced riders.

I was just up there and made it to the top! One of the guys that I rode with took pictures. So I hope I can post them tomorrow or some time this week!

I emailed the groomers to find when the last time they groomed to Pelican was and if they plan to do it again. I will let you know what they say.

Thats Cool. When I ride with my dad we go up there. We were up there 3 weeks ago. I love the views. I want to try to get my wife up there, but won't take here if it is drifted really bad. She likes the trails but lacks a lot on ability when it comes to technical sledding.
We are down to our last allotment of fuel for the cat..it might get once or twice more. There are two who must judge where to groom, Call Scott Blower and John Briggs, They will consider requests into the schedule.

My wife is really good ride. She has been riding a loooong time. But I do feel your pain on this..... I would love to take my son up there! He is only 5 years old and I wouldn't want to take a chance with him on the sled with me. Especially on a mountain sled.

There is quite a bite of Snow up there still. I talked with Dan Riblett yesterday when we went riding! He was thinking about doing it today but I don't know for sure on that. I'll have to talk with him and see what's happening.........

I intend to have Pelican open for the weekend.
We intend to groom a few more weeks as we have fuel to run. I do know that John Briggs last week tied into Cold Springs Camp with his cat, so the trail from the Great Meadow through intersection #96 to Anne Springs should be open.

Right on!!!! 96 hadn't been groomed last time I was there about a week ago. There was a good foot or two of snow on that trail. That would be cool if they get the route up to the top of Pelican done. Killer View!!! I'll go this weekend and find out LOL.
This weekend is supposed to be clear!

This is what Dan Emailed me today on the trail:
Wes,
I went out on the groomer today, did the trail around Lake of the Woods, and the Varney Creek trail. I talked to the groomer chairman, Pelican is supposed to be done on Thursday all the way to the top. There were a few guys that were interested in knowing that, if you could pass it along... If I hear anything different, I will let you know!

That would be cooooool. I don't know if I will make it this year but maybe next.........
It is snowing hard right now, hope the cat doesn't get there too early, where is this clear weather!?

Can you say "Friday" LOL I use Accu weather for my reports. They are the most accurate that I have found......
I use NOAA or wunderground, It can snow all it wants today, but after the cat goes up we need cold sunshine up high. Oh well with my work load I will be lucky to ride by sunday!
