Well I think I have figured out what im going to end up buying for a new sled, but wanted to hear what you guys thought. Im looking at the 05-06' RMK. Mainly the 900 159". I personally have never ridin the IQ frame. From what Ive read its a great one. It seems that some of you ride these newer sleds, so I was wondering what you thought of these sleds. Any problems you have heard with the 900's. How do you think these 159" tracks will handle on the trailer....mainly for my friends to ride, as Im going to buy 2 of them. I know I wont have a problem riding it.

~Thanks

The 900's do have problems braking cranks! Unless it has been modded with a bigger bearing and other goods. If so, you should be fine but if not.........Look out! JMHO

We had a 06 900 RMK, and after we worked out the bugs (wiring harness 1 of 3) the sled ran great!! the 05's had the majority of the problems. They are also nose heavy compared to the newer IQ's.

The 159" track will get you just about anywhere you want to go. We haven't had any problems with on the open face or the enclosed trailers that we have. As for the enclosed trailer we'll put the sled in first with a shorter track sled behind it. Of course we load our sleds in backwards. We have them coming out from the back, by doing this we are able to add a 5th sled.

Have fun:)

As for riding the newer chassic, It took me awhile and at first ride I was hating it, and when the next weekend came to ride my sled, I was thinking "OMG" what a difference. Now I'm use to the new chassic and I won't go back. I can ride all day and not feel so beat up and wore out from riding.

yeah I ride the IQ chassis and love it. my father in law has an 05 900 rmk he loves it, with the exception that he has had the motor replaced 3 times. and now he is having issues with it just ramdomly dieing on the trail.. but other than that he loves it. he has all kindsa stuff done to it including nitrous. i would say go for it.

i started riding on this chassis, but I have heard that if you are used to another style that there is a bit of a learning curve to get used to it.

There is always a learning curve from sled to another sled. I went from a 1989 Mach1 to a 2000 700 Mountain Max. BIG diffrence and takes a little bit to get use to it........ I have rode a new 2008 Ski Doo Summit X154. That is diffrent then the 2000 Yamaha 700MM. JMHO

Give me one each of the new mountain sleds, pay my wages and I will test each one carefully in every state with snow and canada and report back in one year! What do I do on my weekends and vacations?? LOL
