On the printed petition form I could see people hesitant to give out there name, address, and phone number as requested, I personally don't ever give out all of that information unless I know the person or buisnes closely and that they will not be liberal with it's distribution. Is there some sort of requirement for all of this information to be complete so the forrest service will recognize or count the signature or is some of that information optional and still allow the signature to be counted?

I'm just asking because I just printed out a copy and will likely be able to get a few signatures but I'm sure people are going to ask.

The petitions will be submitted to the US Forest Service and all that info is required by them for validation reasons. I do not believe that they use any personal info obtained for marketing, etc. However, anything you provide to a government entity is available under the Freedom of Information Act, I believe. But, someone would have to request it. Dave Lynn has more information about that process, as I know he has used it to obtain records from Deschutes in the past.
