View Full Version : Bachelor 3/2/10
Rode Bachelor area today. Crazy amounts of snow, and wind. Not a lot of visibility and little wind drifts/holes all over the place. Awesome riding.

We left Dutchman at close to 6:00 pm. 2 hours later we made it less than 6 miles. The snow as so deep everyone could not say un-stuck long enough to have fun boondocking. We decided to ride trail 6 to Moon Mtn. and it looked like nobody else had been there all year! An epic ride down from Moon and by far the best and most snow I have seen all season. Should make for a great weekend.
Have to agree. Today had to be the best day of the year. The 24" along with the high winds had most areas riding like it was 3 ft deep. Every time we dug someone out it felt like it was 4' deep. Great day. Will be out again on Sunday.

We rode trail 6 as well on the way back from Moon - probably 15 minutes before you did, totally untracked as well. The wind was filling it back in almost as soon as it got tracked.
didnt get to climb any steep stuff but still fun to get out:)

I should have my extensions here 3-8-10 so I can finally ride all this amazing snow!! My sled has been down for 2 weeks so it has been killing me to hear all the crazy stories from my friends!!! See you up there. 99 rmk stretched to a 151" track, green rail extensions and custom black bumper and tunnel extension.
If you see me up there say hey, we are always looking for riding buddies.

We are heading up to Bend this weekend. Going to drag the wifes sled up and take a buddy from Bend out on Saturday. I have never been up there to snowmobile before. Is Dutchman the best park to go to? Anything we need to know hints tips etc? Thanks in advance.
Mike
Dutchman is fine if you get there early (very small). we usually park at edison, less of a zoo compared to wanoga. enjoy!

Dutchman is the best if you can get a parking spot, Wanoga trails up to moon, then just play all around. A few buddies and I are going up Sunday and friday night from 4is to dark. Give me a call if you want some more help.

Dutchman doesn't show on the map. It's located approx. where the blue "P" is across from mt bachelor ski area.

Thanks guys, I think Wanoga sounds like a better set up as far as parking as I have a little bigger set up. So it sounds like Wanoga trails to Dutchman then just go up from there. How many miles is Wanoga to Dutchman?
about 8 miles or 10 minutes if its freshly groomed:)
