Received there camera or gotten any kind of confirmation of there order?
I sent my order in and realized that I forgot to put "Sledfilm 10" in the company field of the order form, so I have been trying to call them for the last three days to talk to them about it. No one has answered the phone, nor returned my voicemail. I am beginning to get a little concerned.:confused:

I have not heard anything, but my card has been charged yet either. The offer was good through Monday, so I am wondering if maybe the waited to place the orders all at once. I will ask them what the status is.

Hey Tedd, I also called several times because I had questions before I placed my order, sometimes it was hard to get a hold of someone and sometimes someone would answer that was always very polite and professional- my hunch is it's probably a small company. I still feel good about them as of now but also placed my order early Monday and have yet to hear anything. I did put sledfilm10 in though. I did however fax my order and it went through fine but on the cover letter I put "please call upon receipt to discuss shipping address" as if they send it UPS the I want my physical, but if it's USPS then I want PO Box.............no call yet.

My concern is more with them not getting my order form, or disregarding it because I forgot the sledfilm entry. I guess I will just wait and see what happens from here.

I have talked to them several times. I left a message and they always returned my call within a few hours. Still no cameras, however there are a lot of good reviews out and I have not seen anything about poor shipping time. Times are tough for everyone and maybe hey are not warehousing products like they used to.
I hope they come soon. Maybe we will be able to practice shooting some wake board video's this summer. Or photo evidence of skiers with their dogs running loose on the trails and snow parks, or snowmobilers helping an old person across the road (some good press for sleders)
OK, so I got a response this morning. They did receive my order, they are processing it, so there is no problem. They are expecting the cameras to ship out next week.

Our cameras are manufactured in China. We are still dealing with Chinese New Year "hangover", everything shuts down over there for quite a bit, so we have been waiting on stock. We don’t have any 1080p’s in stock at the moment, but should soon. If people ordered one of those cameras they will ship as soon as they are in stock. If they ordered a ContourHD camera (720P) they will ship ASAP. We process credit cards at the same time the order is processed. When they see the credit card has been charged, it will indicate we have the inventory in stock, and an order for shipment has been placed. Once shipped, ground delivery usually arrives in 3 -5 business days.

My laptop has a conflict with the software and will only load it one time and then I have to uninstall and reinstall to make it work again.
To be usable away from your computer, it appears we have to reduce the file size of all videos. This is becoming a major task. Has anyone found a method of reducing the vidio size or had any luck with other software programs?
Maybe we need to start a new thread. "How to use your cameras" for dummys.

It is a fairly basic editor, but it seems to work well for what it was designed for. If you want to do a little more there are some other packages out there that are not too expensive. I have heard that Pinnacle Studio 14 is a nice package that is fairly inexpensive (less than $50) that works well on the PC. I am sure there are others that are out there that are as good or better for less money. I use iMovie on my Mac.
Importing and rendering movies does take some time. I know on iMovie it takes between 1 and 2 hours to import a couple hours of video, it also asks you to reduce the size for best results. Once you create your video it can take awhile to render (depending on final movie size). This all seems to be a fact of video production.
I have been thinking that we should have a video forum for posting videos, asking questions, etc.

One thing I was going to add on the Contours.....
When you flip the record button on and off it creates a new video file. I have found that the smaller video files are easier to work with, as you don't always want a lot of the more boring video, etc. If you can flip the switch at logical points of you ride, between rests, trail junctions, etc. it makes it a little easier to find what you want and you can grab certain parts easier, IMO.

It would be great to have a forum on how to edit, upload and post some of our practice works. There just might be some great footage hiding in amongst all the garbage.

I think that is a great idea. I am sure that I am going to have some questions. Plus, I plan to use IMovie HD to do some editing and such, so I am sure I will have questions about that too.
Man, the anticipation is killing me. Still no camera, and again I sent them an email and have not gotten a response in over 24 hours.
We were at the dunes last weekend playing, and would have loved to had the camera. We are planning to ride in the fresh snow this weekend, and would love to have this camera. Yes, I am whining a little bit. Rant over!
No camera here either. I sure hope it is worth the wait. I have been wanting to use it for some of our jobs hoping I can write the darn thing off. Then use it for fun!!!!!
Oh man I love my new camera. that 1080 is awesome !!! The mount on the helmet is so cool too. Oh wait I don't have it yet. Bummer!!!
I got my camera up for the first time today at Bachelor. An epic day. Deep snow everywhere. Shot a bunch of video of my hood and bumper with powder blowing over the top. It takes some practice to figure out where to aim the camera. I had it all figured out at home but I must drop my chin when riding. Oh well next time. The video quality is really good. It really likes the sun shine. This videos come out really nice.
Camera shipped today. Hopefully
It will be here Friday so I can use it Saturday.

Camera has arrived. It has been mounted to my helmet, aimed, and ready to shoot some hopefully good video tomorrow of over the hood powder.
