LOL!!! There isn't a "boy monitor" in town, but they do seem to sort of avoid Halfway on this weekend. There'll always be a couple of group of guys that come into town to see what it's all about, but besides the Halfway regulars, I've not seen a group repeat a trip to town on this weekend. 99% of the ladies are happily married, hooked up, etc. We sort of become our own "mob". :p I suppose we are entertaining though...... :D

Some quick stats for those of you who are dying to hear about our weekend.

42 women in attendance.

11 first time attendees.

Two days of deep snow.

Only one of those days was it visible enough to ride. Even riding on the groomed trails was a challenge.....because you couldn't SEE it!!

Nicely groomed trails to get us to where we wanted. THANK YOU to all the groomers in Halfway!!

The sno-park was PACKED full on Friday and Saturday. No spare parking to be found. Thank goodness for sled decks, shared trailering and patience!

I don't believe that anyone sustained any severe injuries but EVERYONE was suffering from sore muscles.

All riding groups dig ALOT of digging.

I think that everyone got to ride in a bit sunshine on Saturday afternoon.

Carnage:
RMQueen(Tracey Tolin)/bent bars
Snowchick(Nikki Byrd)/bent bars
Dorothy Lynn/bent bumper
was there more????

The girls love the trees! Whether they are balancing their sleds on them (Cedar/Darkeyes), using them as brakes (Dorothy Lynn and Sonbuny/Lynne Kirgis), or just riding up, down and all around them.

The after-hours activities were fun as always. The DJ ROCKED it!! I think they might like this gig a little too much. LMAO!

Halfway was a welcoming host and I think we provided a great deal of entertainment for the locals....as usual.

Do we have to wait a whole year to do this again?? Oh wait....we don't! WA, CN, OR and ID regional rides are all in our future!! YEAH!!!

Here's a link to my FB photos http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2045656&id=1008497134&l=d772cfb321

There are TONS of photos cropping up on FB, so if you are my friend, you can access most of them. If you send me a friend request, just let me know you are from sledspace and your forum name otherwise, I might not accept ya. :)

Oh - and CJ.....I think of the 42 women in attendance, only like 3 of them were single. It is NOT a hunting ground for singles. It's all about the empowerment of women who sled.
