Is there any place out in the Warner Mt's to ride??? Kind of a ways out.... Any pics???
Bull Prarie, Rogger Meadow, Camas Valley, lots of riding over there when there's snow. East of the Warner Canyon Ski hill are quite a few forest service roads to access the country. I don't know if they have much of a grooming program...I would love to take a winter trip toward Deep Creek or on the back side of Crane Mtn.. that country is pretty awesome in the summer, i can only imagine how it would look in the winter!

I hunt over there when we get lucky enough to draw out. There is a great new snow park around 6 miles east of Hwy 395 on Hwy 140. It has a new potty/warming shed. From there you can ride (assuming there is enough snow) all the way to the top of Drakes Peak and Light Peak. On the west side of Forest Service Rd 3615 there are marked trails but take along a good up to date USFS map of the area (there is a USFS office on Hwy 395 just as you head north out of Lakeview). I have threatened to go over there for a few days and ride but just never get around to it. I've got pics of the area in October (and some with a little snow) if you want them. Send me an email and I'll send them to you. If you do a search for "Light Peak" on Google, you can get an idea of the road system over there. There is some private property (belongs to the mill north of Lakeview) and they will prosecute you if they catch you. It's not really in a good area to ride anyway (just an excellent area to hunt :). If you have any questions, just email me.
